RICHARD BRENT, Esq. of Larkstoke (in Ilmington) and Admington, Gloucestershire, Sheriff of Gloucestershire, 16155. He married in 1594 ELIZABETH READE, daughter of Giles Reede, Esq., of Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire, by Katherine, daughter of Fulk Greville, Knt., of Alcester, Warwickshire. They had six sons... and seven daughters... In 1618 he and John Hugford, Esq. purchased the manor of Aston, Staffordshire, together with 4 messuages, 3 cottages, 3 barns, etc. in Aston, Aldridge, Great Barre, etc. from John Fowke, Gent. for £760. He subscribed to the building of the bridge at Stafford-upon-Avon in 1618. In 1623 he leased Larkstoke for 14 years to his brother-in-law, Fulk Reade and others. In 1629 Richard and Elizabeth and their son, Fulk, conveyed the manor of Admington, Gloustershire to the executors of Fulk Greville, Lord Brooke, his wife’s cousin. Two thirds of his estate was sequestered in 1644 for recusancy.
