The identification of Michael Lessing as Catherine’s father is based on two facts. One is that he was present in 1830 in Union Township,2302 which was her reported home at the time of her marriage.593 The second is that Catherine’s first son was named Michael,588 a name not present in the family of her husband, Samuel Lloyd.
