IVAN Teg, or the Handsome, of Dolobran, co. Montgomery, ap David, of Dolobran, ap Jenkin, ap Llewellyn a[ Einion, of Lloydiarth, who derived from Aleth, Lord of Dyfed, 13th in descent from Meirig (living 542), according to LEWYS DWNN.”2262
The prefix “ap” means “son of.” Taking the history back this far is rather fanciful, in my view.
