His father’s will notes, “… considering my Eldest Son Samuel Wallton and his disobedience and Undutifullness to me and to his Mother and also his extravagant Life whearby I have been forced to pay severall Soms of money to discharge his debts which doth amount to such a Som or to so great a part of my Estate as I doo thinkfull to be his portion thearfore I doo give to him One English Shilling and no more.”2015
