Here lies inter'd the Body of 
James Benedict Esq Deacon
of the 1st Church of Christ in
this Town [Ridgefield] together with Sarah
his wife who after haveing served
their generation according to the
will of GOD fell on sleep and were
gathered to their Father the first on
November 25, 1762 in the 77th year of his age
