His will provides, “Ittem my will is that the aforesaid Children have such Education in Learning [to] write and read and castauompt(?) I mean my three sonns and my two daughters to learn to read and sew with their needles and all of them to be kept from idleness but not to be kept as Comon Servants and that the learning so bestowed upon my children be out of my whole Estate before they do unto the age aforesaid and after such learning so bestowed that such care be taken of my children that they may not forgett their learning before they do come of age as aforesaid.”665
