There is not much known about Sarah Hoffman. She was living in Exeter in 1830 with a young girl aged 5 to 10.205 It is not clear who this might have been. Sarah did not have a younger sister, and she herself was rather young to have a child of that age. She was married to Joseph Lloyd in 1835. Both bride and groom were reported to live in nearby Union. It’s clear that they were later in nearby Coventry. Sarah died by 1845, when her mother Esther requested that Joseph be appointed guardian of Sarah’s minor children.208
